This rare Wheeler & Wilson rotary sewing machine is in excellent used condition. The machine dates from between 1892 and 1905 and features a 5 drawer drop-head cabinet, a bobbin winder, stitch length control, and its original wooden pitman arm and anti-rotation cog. The machine is tested and sews, though it does need a new belt (readily available). We always recommend having a sewing machine serviced to ensure it operates as intended. 

This D9 model is the domestic model 9 made in Bridgeport, CT. This machine features inventions that changed sewing machines forever, including an early rotary hook that was eventually adopted by all manufacturers. This machine was considered one of the best available at the time and cost today's equivalent of more than $5,000 when new due to it's ease of use and innovations. 

There is a sewing sample included and several very rare extra feet.

  • Pick-up will be available during open warehouse hours: Monday – Friday 12 to 5 pm and Saturday – Sunday 10 am to 5 pm.
  • We offer 5 days of storage. You must pick up your item within 5 days of purchase. After 5 days, the item may be resold. If it is resold you will be refunded 75% of the purchase amount.
  • We have staff available to load items. We strongly encourage you to bring help to load large purchases. Our staff will help as much as they can but will not load large, bulky, and heavy items into inappropriate vehicles.
  • Shipping is not available. In-store pickup only.
