This is a 1950s vintage Japanese vase table lamp in a light gray glaze. On its neck the vase features a pair of elephants holding ceramic rings in their trunks. The lamp holds two bulbs with 2 pull chains to control the lamps individually, and a switch in the base that will turn both off at once. It is labeled 'Made in Japan' on the bottom, and was a vase turned into a lamp.
Please note, the current shade is wrinkled and needs replacement (see photos).
Community Forklift always recommends LED bulbs which use less energy and produce less heat which helps to preserve vintage and antique fixtures.
