This Thonet style bentwood rocking chair has beautifully spiraled supports under the seat connecting the dramatically curved armrests and rockers. Its design is based on the distinctive style introduced by Michael Thonet in Germany in the late 19th century which produced graceful curved shapes by bending and forming wood treated with hot steam. The back cushion is detached but the frame, rockers, and gold and black fabric are in good condition. There are a few small nicks in the wood (see photos for detail).

Dimensions:

37" High x 21" Wide x 37" Deep; seat height is approximately 14"
