This painting on canvas by Hussain Gewashi depicts a Libyan village and water well and is signed and dated 1976, before construction began on the Great Man-Made River pipeline and aqueduct project to supply fresh water across the country. The lush green scene includes an orchard and palm trees receding into the far distance, the walls and minaret of a mosque, and centers the action of an ox powering a pulley to raise water up from the well. The painting is framed and signed in the lower right corner.

  • Pick-up will be available during open warehouse hours: Monday – Sunday 12-5 pm.
  • Buyers are solely responsible for loading purchases and removing them from the Community Forklift premises. Measure your vehicle before you arrive and bring adequate assistance to move and load your items.
  • You must pick up your items within 5 days of the date of purchase.
  • Shipping is not available. In-store pickup only. 

Items can be returned within 3 weeks of purchase. Please be aware that there is a 25% restocking fee for returned items at the time of the refund.
