This vintage Seth Thomas classic 'Woodbury' mantle clock runs and looks great. It features a sweet toned Westminster Chime that notes both the quarter hours and counts off the hours. The movement is made in Germany, setting the date of this clock post 1960.
The clock has two minor veneer bubbles, one on each side of the face, and the glass face is loose, and should be re-secured.
The Seth Thomas Clock Company was incorporated in 1853 in Plymouth Hollow, CT, later named Thomaston in Seth Thomas' honor. The company was once one of the largest producers of clocks in the US, and made its cases and movements in Connecticut until the 1950s.
